Key Responsibilities

As a Code 10 Driver, your primary duties will include:

  1. Scheduled Pick-Ups and Deliveries

    • Safely transport goods to designated locations as per the company’s delivery schedule.
    • Adhere to the route plans provided and ensure timely completion of all deliveries.
  2. Safe Handling of Goods

    • Ensure all items are securely loaded to prevent damage or loss during transit.
    • Take every precaution to minimise stock losses and ensure goods are delivered in excellent condition.
  3. Vehicle Maintenance and Reporting

    • Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure the delivery vehicle is in good working condition.
    • Complete vehicle logbooks accurately and report any issues promptly.
  4. Stock Verification and Documentation

    • Verify that all stock being loaded matches the delivery notes and invoices.
    • Sign off on stock to confirm accuracy before leaving the depot.
  5. Adherence to Health and Safety Protocols

    • Follow all company health and safety regulations to ensure the well-being of yourself and others.
    • Maintain a clean and organised delivery vehicle at all times.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Possess a valid Code 10 (C) Driver’s Licence and Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
  • Have at least 1-3 years of driving experience with Code 10 vehicles, preferably in the hardware or building material supply industry.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Be physically fit and capable of handling loading and offloading tasks when necessary.
  • Exhibit good communication skills and professionalism when interacting with customers and team members.
