Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Licensing
- A Grade 12 (National Certificate) qualification is essential.
- A valid Code EC driver’s license with an up-to-date Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
Experience
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience driving ultra-heavy vehicles.
- At least 3 years’ experience operating Superlink/Interlink or combination vehicles.
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong understanding of defensive driving techniques.
- Proficiency in emergency and defect reporting procedures.
- Ability to perform vehicle inspections and operate a fire extinguisher.
- Expertise in loading and offloading techniques.
- Capability to maximize vehicle efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Other Requirements
- Must be willing to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts.
- Own reliable transport to and from work is required.
- Must have a clean criminal record.
- Candidates must be medically fit to perform job-related duties.
Key Responsibilities
As a Code 14 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods while maintaining compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

Vehicle Preparation and Operations
- Prepare the vehicle for trips and ensure it operates at optimal performance.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify any potential issues.

Transportation and Delivery
- Safely load, transport, and offload cargo as required.
- Ensure accurate handling of all documentation related to deliveries.

Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to safety protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company policies.
- Ensure vehicles, uniforms, and PPE are well-maintained and in compliance with safety standards.

Collaboration and Ancillary Duties
- Complete any additional tasks assigned by your supervisor.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations.

Training and Evaluation
- Successfully undergo and complete:
- Medical evaluations.
- USCS training modules.
- Induction processes.
- Practical driving evaluations.
