RCL Foods, a leader in the South African food manufacturing industry, is seeking experienced and highly skilled Fitters to join its Groceries Division in Randfontein, Gauteng.

Your Role at RCL Foods
As a Fitter at RCL Foods, your primary responsibility will be to maintain and optimise all plant machinery to ensure their peak performance.
You will perform planned maintenance according to schedules, manage mechanical equipment for production and packaging lines, and troubleshoot issues effectively. Additionally, you’ll contribute to new projects and handle equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
Your role will also involve stripping machinery during overhauls to inspect and replace worn components, assisting in constructing new mechanical equipment, and liaising with your supervisor to ensure smooth operations.
A key focus will be on maintaining safety standards while reducing costs and improving machine performance.
What We’re Looking For
To excel in this position, you’ll need the following qualifications and experience:
- Trade Certification: Fitter or Fitter & Turner (trade tested).
- Experience: At least 5 years in machinery maintenance and high-speed packaging, ideally within a food manufacturing environment.
- Skills: Thorough understanding of machine maintenance schedules, fault-finding, and repair.
- Driving Licence: Code 8 driver’s licence.
