Are you passionate about protecting assets and ensuring compliance? The Shoprite Group is seeking a Designate Divisional Loss Prevention Specialist to join its team in Brackenfell, Cape Town. 

This permanent position offers a chance to play a pivotal role in safeguarding the company’s assets while helping maintain and improve store profitability within the Western Cape division.

About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with the Divisional Loss Prevention Manager to design and implement loss prevention programs aimed at reducing theft, fraud, and shortages. 

You will contribute to maintaining safety and security standards across the division and support the development of systems and processes to address risks and minimise financial losses.

Your responsibilities will also include conducting investigations, supporting security enhancements, auditing inventory procedures, and ensuring compliance with company policies. 

Regular collaboration with divisional management and external stakeholders is key to this role, as is staying informed about advancements in loss prevention strategies.

What We’re Looking For

Candidates should have a Matric/Grade 12 certificate and a Diploma or Degree in business, criminal justice, or a related field. 

A minimum of 4 years of experience in retail loss prevention or a similar role is essential, with expertise in conducting investigations and developing loss prevention programs.

In addition to a strong background in loss prevention, applicants must have excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, along with skills in communication, training delivery, and security analysis.
